Dr. Heather Sculthorpe

Dr. Heather Sculthorpe

Dentist

Dr. Sculthorpe’s path to pediatric dentistry began at Ramapo College, where she earned her Bachelor of Science in Biology, before going on to the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey (New Jersey Dental School) to earn her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree and complete her pediatric residency.

With over 24 years of dedicated pediatric dental practice — and nearly 33 years in the dental field — Dr. Sculthorpe brings a depth of experience and a genuine love for working with children to every appointment.

Outside the office, she stays just as busy. Dr. Sculthorpe enjoys dancing, walking, and cherishing time with her husband Mike and their three children, Julia, Natalie, and Alex. And if that’s not enough to make her memorable — she was featured on TLC’s A Baby Story with her youngest, Alex.

Laura H

Laura H, RDH

Dental Hygienist

Laura joined Dr. Heather’s team in October 2020, bringing with her a passion for pediatric care and a natural ability to connect with young patients. She earned her Associate Degree in Dental Hygiene from Bergen Community College in 2008 and has been committed to making every child’s dental experience a positive one ever since.

Laura loves educating her little patients about oral health — because good habits start early, and she makes sure they stick. Outside the office, you’ll find her logging miles at Orangetheory Fitness or enjoying downtime with her husband and their sweet pup, Emily.

Susan Hansen Rdh

Susan Hansen, RDH

Dental Hygienist

Susan Hansen brings 39 years of dental hygiene experience to every appointment — and the kind of calm, reassuring presence that makes even the most nervous little patients feel right at home. She has been a proud member of Dr. Heather’s team for over five years, though the two go back much further, sharing more than 32 years of history in the dental field together.

Susan’s approach is simple: every child and parent deserves a dental experience that feels calm, comfortable, and caring. That philosophy has guided her throughout her career, and it shows in the relationships she builds with her patients every day.

Tracy Collins, RDH

Tracy Collins, RDH

Dental Hygienist

With more than 25 years of experience in pediatric dentistry, Tracy Collins brings energy, enthusiasm, and genuine warmth to every young patient she sees. Her passion for making kids feel comfortable and confident in the dental chair has made her a beloved presence in the practice.

Tracy earned her degree from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey’s dental hygiene program in 1995. Her commitment to excellence was recognized in 2006 when she received the prestigious Award of Distinction from Sunstar/Butler — an honor that celebrates outstanding dental hygienists who go above and beyond for their patients and profession. She was later invited to be recognized as an Alumni of this distinction at the RDH Under One Roof conference in Baltimore, MD.

Two decades of dedication. Countless smiles created.

Kali

Dental Assistant

Kali brings over 14 years of experience as a dental assistant and a warmth that patients — especially kids — notice the moment they walk in. Her focus is simple: make sure every patient feels comfortable, supported, and genuinely cared for from start to finish.

When she’s not in the office, Kali keeps life full — traveling, catching live music, staying active, getting lost in a good book, and soaking up time with family and friends. Oh, and she’s a proud football and soccer fan, so feel free to talk sports.
